this is how we do winter in north queensland

Townsville is notorious for it’s heat and humidity.  From September – April things are usually hot and very bothersome and as a result,  I spend 80% of my free time plotting how we can relocate down south to escape the oppressive climate.

Then Winter comes, and there’s no better place to be.

Yesterday was the perfect day.  Not a cloud in the sky.  Kids in their rashies.  Picnics on the beach.  Sandcastles.  Exploring rock pools.  Cool breeze.  Our family all together.  Ice cream.

And on days like those, I don’t want to be anywhere else.
